Quite brilliant stuff. The lazy argument though is that by season ten, The Simpsons was on the slide, but there's plenty of compelling evidence in this boxset to counter that. Sure, not every episode's a classic, but there are a lot of laughs and much entertainment to be gleamed here. Furthermore, when you factor in the commentaries, deleted scenes, sketch gallery and look at the upcoming film, once again the stops have been pulled off for a distinguishable TV collection. Again, The Simpsons--in more than one sense--sets the standard that the others look up to.
