The listing, Garmin nuvi 255w gps has ended.

This is a garmin nuvi 255w. I am the original owner. It was bought and used for about 3 months in 2009.
It has a 4.3 in (10.9 cm) screen, i will include the car charger and a cable to connect to a computer.

I just tried asking Google, the Garmin website says you can plug in your device and it will automatically check for updates. I don't know if there is a charge or not

with it being 5 years old, is it update able? I have a garmin now and it won't let me update. they said it was to old, and i needed to buy another one. lol

I'm not sure, you might be right. I'm having problems with my computer now and can't connect to the internet, hopefully I get it fixed I'll plug it in and see what happens. I know it is a discontinued model, so you might be right

Mine was stolen from a parking garage in Tampa. But they can not update because you need the original security code. Was yours registered with a security code?

I don't know if I ever registered it, I looked for the paperwork and can't find it, i've moved twice since then.
Hopefully I'll get to plug it in tonight and see what happens

Yes it does, I think it even has the speed limit indicator so you know what it is if you missed the sign or whatever

Ok so I checked it out and you can purchase some time north America update for 49.99 or you can buy lifetime updates for 89.99.
The GPS works as is without any update, you just won't find new businesses or if roads are closed or new roads built

Unfortunately no mine messed up n it's about 300 bucks to get it repaired due to it being digital they need to replace the whole gauge system this way at least I can tell my speed Thankyou again
