This car has been used and played with by children.
Stamped into the metal on the bottom is Mattel Inc. 1969. {Is this the year of manufacture?} I know that I have owned it for about 20 years.

I have went on E-Bay and found what I believe to be identical cars as this. Their listed sales prices range from about $5.00 to $55.00 plus often high shipping. I am not a collector and don't know the value of this car. You look at photos and decide. Most of these are painted Red. Mine is like an Olive metal flake color.
