Mod Podge has a tendency to retain brush lines/marks so once dried it's lightly sanded to smooth out brush lines for a flat matte finish (We're constantly asked by concerned customers/parents what type of finish we use due to hazardous chemicals/exposure citing the warning on back of polyurethane products..for this reason we have included AN IMAGE of the product we use( The Mod Podge IS NOT INCLUDED)
