Up for auction we have..........a Samsung Google Chromebook XE303C12-A01UK!! This was purchased in March, works perfectly, no issues at all. It was mine my wife's and she absolutely loved it, but she needed Windows 7 or greater to complete an assessment, soooo this dandy is up for grabs!! EVENTUALLY I would suggest ordering a new charge cord though. It works fine but during our furniture rearranging, the couch was sat down on the tip, so it has a bit of a curve in it. It DOES charge it perfectly, I'd just feel more comfortable knowing the curve wasn't there, just in case it is capable of causing damage to the port. Hey! This has wifi And once you type in the passcode once, even if you leave with it, you'll never have to type it in again. It automatically signs back in when you come back. You can order a kindle on there, is that what you mean? If you go to Ebay or Amazon they have some pretty cheap ones. Thanks for stopping by!! :D

This runs independently off of the operating system Google Chrome. It memorizes everything you allow it to preset and runs at a very high speed. It does everything a laptop does except it doesn't have a dvd or cd drive. It runs MP3 and has an app store for movies & games and such.

In answer to the question what is the big difference between the Google Chrome OS and Windows 7-here's a little article I found that describes it a little bit........>Chrome is a seriously stripped-down, fast OS. Because Chrome supports only Web capabilities, it can do away with much of the bulk and unnecessary system checks that slow a traditional OS. For example, during start up the OS firmware doesn't have to search for floppy disk drives or other hardware that few current computers continue to use -- a task that other operating systems still perform.

Thus, Chrome is a much smaller OS that consumes almost no disk space, especially when compared to Windows. Windows 7, for example, requires about 60 times more disk space than Chrome (source: Mearian).

One nice result of these differences is speed. A fairly fast Windows machine might finish booting in around 45 seconds. In contrast, Google wants Chrome netbooks to be up and running in 7 seconds or less (source: Tweney).

Google works closely with computer makers to ensure that Chrome systems are equipped with hardware that lets the OS run optimally. Chrome runs on x86-based computers, as well as those with ARM

It does have a mic jack, and it does have a couple of audio programs on it, but I'm not sure if it has playback or not? I'll try to find out.

Sorry, been a busy couple of days! There are pics of the tip now, it still charges just fine but I would get a new one just in case. It may be able to be bent back but I'm just afraid I'll mess it up.

Absolutely! The webcam works great!! The DS auction and Mary Kay auction in my feedback history have pics taken with the webcam! There are some programs that won't run off of the Chromebook that would run with Windows. and some apps available on the Chromebook aren't available for Windows 7. I'll see if I can find a compared performance list on Google then I'll post it up at the top!
