Offered for your bidding consideration, is a Vintage and obsolete Free Play gaming token that was for use by slot players at the Silverbird Hotel Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada.
The Silverbird off the strip opened in 1948 under its former name, the Thunderbird. The name changed to the Silverbird in 1976 and operated for 5 years under that name from 1976 through 1982.
In 1982, the casino opened as the El Rancho. The El Rancho was eventually imploded on October 3, 2000.
This 1-5/8 inch diameter token (Same size as a Silver Dollar) is in excellent condition with minor scratches and with both sides being shown in the pictures. It has a riged edge just like a minted coin.
