This plant is the Purslane, a sister to the Rose Moss. The Portulaca is in the same family but a little different. I absolutely LOVE my plant. She is beautiful!! I have white, yellow, red and pink flowers blooming in one plant all day long and then they close up as the sun goes down. She grows like crazy. I smile every time I look at her. :)

Oh! And btw, it's supposed to be edible. High in Omega-3's, Vitamin C, Vitamin B, Magnesium, Calcium and Iron, I have never tested it tho. LOL!

Apparently some people view it as a weed. Some places it is rare to find due to the health benefits (like in Asia). And some of us think they are beautiful plants. Ha!

fanned and watching :) Tulips rarely rebloom or naturalize and multiply....only a couple of varieties do...probably why you don't find them here.

These are cool plants...my neighbor gave me a piece of one and it grew like crazy! I called them a portulaca...but he told me they are called a portulana. I don't know if that's true---just thought I would pass it on. Good luck with your auction! Anne
