Two claps turn one outlet on & off, 3 claps for the other. I bought for my wonderful husband, but was messing with him when he was trying to set it up, I'd walk up behind him and clap randomly and throw him off. Lol I thought it was hysterical, him not so much. ; ) so in our dresser it sits. I still think back on that day and giggle. :' )
