Description

The listing, Silver Plated Labradorite SET - Pendant, Earrings and Ring size 9 has ended.

There will be many a jewelry auctions listed from me, as I am cleaning out the ol' jewelry box. This set is sterling plated. I tested it. In the photos, you will see a mark on the back of the ring. It is stamped .925 but is not solid .925. That does not mean it is not pretty though! This preloved set was still worn and loved, and found itself sitting in my jewelry box along with a bunch of other pieces I don't wear anymore. You will receive the whole set, pendant, earrings and size 9 ring. This does not come with a chain,

All Listia rules apply. No remorse, returns or exchanges. I only ship to Listia Verified addresses as well, which means if you do not provide a verified address within 7 days, I reserve the right to keep your credits and relist the item.

Serious bidders only please!

.925 means sterling. ...so ive been taught. Obviously sterling isnt entirely silver, need added components

That is right. .925 is SUPPOSED to be sterling silver. .999 is fine silver. There are many a sellers who sell .925 rings...so they claim. This is a set I purchased online that was supposed to be .925, and it was even marked. I tested it once I received it. It truly was not .925. A lot of jewelry bought especially overseas is marked .925 when it is honestly not. There are a lot stricter rules here in the US regarding such, and I purchased a set that was only plated. It is a false marking, as .925 should indicate the metal of the WHOLE piece, not just the plating. Testing kits are made to specifically test things like .925, 10kt 14kt and so on. Each liquid is different and made to test each specific metal. I tested this with my .925 kit, as you can see on the ring, the plating wore off. If it was true solid sterling silver, there should be no mark left behind.

Why thanks. I really don't like being duped when purchasing something, which is why there are a few other items I have put up and will put up that I can not test in an inconspicuous place, so instead of calling them sterling, I am stating straight in the listings, that even though it is marked, I can not say for certain, so for the benefit of everyone I am calling it plated. I really need to spend a few bucks and get the test stone, but for the amount that I am putting up, really, there won't be much, and I don't sell jewelry anymore as I was on ebay and another site, so I am destashing the jewelry box and have a few brand new guaranteed to be .925 that I will be listing. All I can say is "it is what it is" and I would hate to wake up and see my finger is green from my "sterling" ring! I can not do that to someone. And btw, it really is a gorgeous stone....that eerie blue glow is mesmerizing!

It's a good thing to be honest. LOL, yeah, I want to get the stuff out of my jewelry box, but why be dishonest? Just like you, I like to be able to sleep at night. ;oP And you are quite welcome. Ebay has a lot of great blog posts about jewelry and spotting fake bags and such. I refer to them quite often.
