I do not have Verizon and I've never used the phone...so I don't have any info regarding what plans can be used or software anything like that...sorry. All I kno is the phone works...WiFi works...u can download apps...u may need to replace the battery cuz the charge doesn't hold long...but that's all I know. It was used when I received it.
