Each is a different shape, size and texture. The strand measures 17 inches in total length, the clasp is gold plated and has been tested as well. very nice! I have so many pearls and am not sure which are real in some cases. I've tried the teeth thing but I can't tell lol is there another way other then taking them in to have them checked? Love these and definitely watching!! :)

If you rub a real pearl on your teeth, it feels gritty because pearls are compressed sand. Sometimes in the thrift store I click them against my teeth before rubbing, this helps identify if it's plastic, glass of the real deal. I had this specific strand check by a professional as well as my other silver and pearl necklace. You can just tell the difference by looking too. Each pearl is a different shape with different markings. No two are the same.
