I was just able to play it in my Wii U, so it works fine. The disc has a few light scratches but nothing major. It was adult owned.

The game is Super Mario Galaxy. Nintendo Selects is the Edition of the game. Kinda like it sold so many copies of the first edition and then they release the game again as Nintendo Selects and it indicates that the game has sold a certain number of copies. It is just like the normal edition, it is just in a different case than the first edition.

This is a Wii game. It plays on Wii or Wii U. It was made for Wii, but since Wii U is backwards compatible it will play on both.
