Is this used in addition to your wifi connection. I have net gear wifi with verizon. So this will extend the connection. I find I loose the connection when I go into the living room or front porch.

This product is amazing when it comes to boosting your wifi connection. I know because I used this a lot in my apartment since they offered free wifi down in the common area which was 8 floors below me. This was able to give me amazing wifi using that until I was able to get me a regular cable modem through my cable service. So if your looking to expand your connection at faster speeds. This router is the ticket! :)

Is this to be used 'in addition to' my Net Gear WiFi that's plugged into my modem on my desk top PC on the 2nd floor of my home.

Do I plug this into a regular electric outlet on the first floor or even on my front porch for my lap top when I'm on the porch or in the yard?

You said you used this. Did you plug it in your PC modem or in the electric outlet only. I've asked this 3X without an answer.

You plug it in an wall outlet.. Turn it on.. Then go online, put in the I.P address to set it up through your existing wifi from your current computer and your done. It's not hard at all if you go to the link I provided as well. Hope that answered your question.

Lady, range extenders exist AWAY from your modem/router. It should be placed someone far away from your modem/router but still be able to pick up a signal.

EXAMPLE: Modem/router is located in stairs to the north side of a house. If you lose connection downstairs on the south side of the house, the extender should be placed downstairs somewhere, where there is still connection. It will receive a signal from the modem/router then recast (send out) the signal to reach every part of your home.

These are used in offices, Scholls and bigger homes (usually two story).

Finally, if your modem/router is by a computer, microwave, a phone (not cell phone), a TV or any other electronic device, it WILL disrupt the signal. Same goes for the range extender. Make sure the are at least 4 feet from these objects.

Useful Information: For maximum coverage, modem/router should be placed in the dead center of a home. Range extender and adjustments; as needed.

Sorry to bust your balls buddy but, can you post a picture that it indicates this is the N600 either in the box or on the device itself. Also, a piece of paper with you Listia namd for security purposes. Again, sorry. But I just want to be sure before I lay down some credits on this bad boy.

The model of this is the WN2500RP which is the N600.
