Description

The listing, Sony Optiarc AD-7173A DVD Multi Writer has ended.

Just replaced this with a SATA version and have no room to put it as a secondary since my PSU cables are currently taking up residence in that bay. It's firmware is currently up to date. It will also ship with the IDE ribbon.

E-IDE/ATAPI interface

Supported media: DVD-ROM, DVD-R (DL), DVD-RW, DVD-RAM, DVD +R, DVD +RW, DVD +R9, CD-ROM, CD-R and CD-RW with 80mm and 120mm diameter

Specifications: http://www.sony-optiarc.eu/products/archive/dvddrivesdesktoppcs/ad7173a.html

I have never used the Labelflash feature so as far as i know it should still work. I prefer black permanent markers myself lol

Yes it will, though it will probably run a bit slower than if you put in a newer system.
