The listing, 1800's Bible Very Old! Metal Latch, Nice Old Bible, Very Neat! Haven't Seen Many With The Latch.... has ended.

This a very old bible, inside the front cover someone has written their name
"Alice Meacham October 5 1881" it appears to be written in pen on the top right of that same page it is inscribed: Dui
Bok

Not sure what that means, the bible is in overall good condition for it's age, the hard cover is made of leather and also in good condition for it's age. Please see all pics, every page appears to be in the Bible second to the last at the bottom reads THE END then last page is blank leading me to believe they are all there. The metal clasp holds the book together very nice and I would imagine is the reason it is in such good shape. There is a book marker or tassel that is in this bible that appears to be very old as well. After the first blank page it reads:

The only date I can find on this bible is the one that was written on it years ago to it is at least from 1881, and most likely a lot older

What a wonderful Bible, I have all my husband and I's 5 generation back grandparents Bibles and Catholic Daily Missals some have home recorded Births in them and some of the first Marriage Licenses that were ever issued seeing some of the old plate photos in them were a treasure and they are so treasured,I look forward to handing them down to my children and the lil man in my icon picture is the first born Grandchild which will make him the future owner.These are so hard to find since this is the disposable generation it's nice to have the things handed down to us to share with my children and grand babies.....Great Listing, Aubreywaston I wish you luck yes this would make a perfect gift for someone who wants to become a Preacher nice of you to think so highly of him that would be perfect!

Oh wow I wish I had the credits I would get this now as I collect bibles from 17-1800's and this is beautiful and my favorite book in the world what a beaut.
