Your niece has great taste - Owls and Purple are some of my favorite things too! It really is a cute little ring! I mentioned that the eyes are rhinestone but hopefully the photo shows that the entire body is covered with rhinestones too, just a slightly different size and color of purple than the eyes are. I actually like it a lot and was wearing it almost daily... but it kinda clashes with the wedding rings, my sapphire and ruby rings... One only has so many fingers ya know. LLOL!

lol. I have a habit of wearing too many pieces at a time anyway - rings on most fingers, my thumbs, and at least 5 or 6 bracelets - it's kinda my thing. LLOL! But this one needs to be adopted by someone who will wear it more often than I have been, cos it really is quite cute!

We could be!! I am related to Princess Diana, Christopher Lloyd, Ralph Fiennes, Richard Nixon, the Bush's, and my favorite - Teddy Roosevelt is my 6th cousin. GRIN!!! If you are descended from William the Conqueror, it links to to all of those contemporary families. I haven't chased all the lines to completion except the Roosevelt's, both Teddy and FDR. I need to finish up Elenors tree but she was a distant cousin of theirs in the first place so you gotta be careful when you add the info - you can end up duplicating families and messing the whole thing up. Not fun. LOL! But she is my cousin too! And sounds like more than likely, YOURS!! People are way more connected than they ever imagined... Half the kids I went to school with are distant cousins and we never knew it!!

So, the grins are on my moms side, and so is Henry. Dumas is my dad's...I am not sure how Henry and the Grumman tie together...if that info is known by my family, I no longer have access to it...drat!

I think you may be on to something with the jewelry though...and funnily enough, I just got from here a rhinestone head band/tiara and a rhinestone butterfly hair comb! Snicker!
