This mini scale is what I began with to weigh my envelopes.I'd set a spool of thread on it, turn it on and then add my envelope to get the weight! I works great and is pretty true to weight. It takes 2 - AAA batteries (NOT INCLUDED) and ONE OF THE BATTERY COVERS IS TAPED ON (see last 2 photos).

Yesterday when i got home from work, all my pups greeted me except for Sargent. I found him in his bed and picked him up to see he had a huge lump the size of a small orange at his leg to groin, so I rushed him to the ER vet where they did an x-ray & sonogram it to see if it was a hematoma and not a gut hernia or broken bone thing. PTL it was a hematoma. So they shot him up with liquid under his skin on his back, and 4 drugs and I got to take him home. I gave him cold compress for 15 minutes each 1 1/2 hour all night long. This morning it had turned absolutely purple and I just got home from his check in at 1:30. They are keeping him overnight and doing a blood transfusion to help speed his recovery of blood. He is 14 weeks old and she said his bone marrow was trying to remake red blood cells, but this blood transfusion would help him faster.
