Description
The listing, Vintage Mini Claw foot Bathtub ***Free Ship*** has ended.
You are bidding on an adorable miniature claw foot bathtub that is made of metal (brass ?) made around 1977. It has a chain with a plug, claw feet, and faucet handles. There are so many ideas for this. It has a hole at the bottom so it would be great for a tiny planter, a small soap dish, display item or for a dollhouse. I always love to see other great ideas people come up with in the comments.
I have used a sharpie as a idea of size.
All Listia rules apply. I ship to only verified Listia addresses and to the US only. Happy Bidding!
I actually might have a mini cast iron skillet. I was at an estate sale and they were asking $25 for one. It's a little bigger than a half dollar. I just might list it :) keep a look out.
Oh my goodness, this is so cute!! It would make the perfect soap dish, as one could easily pull the chain and let out the extra water that gathers at the bottom. I love it!
Hi-Just for the info-"Dollhouse"size 1/12 means for every foot-12 "- in the "real world"It is 1" in the "dollhouse world"-so say the bathtub is 6ft long in the "real world"-a dollhouse tub would be 6 inches long---and also I believe "Vintage "is an object over 25 years old, or older-and "Antique "is 100 years old or older,as used by the customs dept.-so as this is made in1977-it is considered "Vintage"Just sayin'- B-) -L
Thanks, Linda. That is very helpful. So using your example, assuming a real clawfoot tub is 6 ft long and the mini is 2 inches long, then it would be --- 1:3 (?). Also, it would be Vintage, as for myself, I fall into that category too. Good to know about antiques though. I think the term "antique"'is used more liberally, but with a stamp of 1977, I felt certain it did not fall into that category. I feel like I've learned something this morning! Thanks again!
