The listing, The Arena; St. Louis, Mo. linen vintage postcard has ended.
A nice example of a vintage "linen" postcard- UNUSED.
Published by Paul Monroe Co., approximately 1940...
although, since it has not been postally used, this is just my estimate time frame... MAKE YOUR OWN DECISION ON THIS.
This postcard is in overall very good condition... there is a slight crease across the middle of the card & a small amount of edge wear across top edge & corners of the card (not enough to really notice much).
A little information about "The Arena":
Opened: September 23, 1929
Closed: May 23, 1994
Demolished: February 27, 1999
Early in it's operation years, according to the back of card, it was used for exhibits, shows, prize fights & wrestling matches & could seat more people than Madison Square Garden in New York City. It went on to be home to several sport's teams, including several hockey teams, basketball, etc. Such a beautiful example of architecture that is now past into history.
Please examine photos carefully & know what you are bidding on before you bid.
