I know how you feel. I've actually won 2 iPod Touch 5G's and a 4G from new members, but never got them. New users tend to list big ticket items with no intentions on shipping them. I think the best way to find a genuine seller is looking at their feedback and verification. (Scammers rarely verify themselves because they will just leave the site once the auction is over.) I am also a strong advocate against scamming on this site, so you don't have to worry about this auction. :) I will be including tracking when shipping also.

i don't think this is real because it looks like he wrote his username on a table in marker. my brother was doing a fake auction on his account and he wrote his username using face changer on a table in marker.

Your comment makes absolutely no sense. First, I'm a Girl and my name is Jessica. Second, the "marker" I used was a baby blue highlighter. Third, please explain my 5th picture I uploaded. Honestly, you should read my auction thoroughly and my feedback before posting silly accusations. Just because your brother is posting fake auctions does not mean every other responsible, trustworthy seller's auctions (with 100% feedback might I add) are all fake.
P.S. Stop posting this on other seller's auctions!

You're very welcome. You can also find real sellers by sending them private messages about details regarding the item they're selling.
Like why they are giving it away, how long they had it, serial number (If applicable), shipping & tracking. That's how I eliminate 99% of scammers. :)
~Good luck bidding! I have a feeling you will win your iPod! :)

Hello, Great auction!! I recently listed my old iPod 4 but my screen was cracked and I ended up getting over 60,000 so you should do much better than that!! I swear when anything electronic is listed all the looney tunes come out and post the most ridiculous comments... After reading some of the idiotic remarks posted I have added some to my block party. I give you credit you are very patient. I hope this does well for you.. I look forward to bidding on your other auctions. Fanned .. it's nice to see honest Listians :) ♥♥

Thank you so much! It's users like you who keep trusted seller's going. Fanned you back. :) You should have seen my last cell phone auction. A user had bid on a phone I was selling then after bidding, she decided read my auction details. She then proceeded to blow up my inbox with vulgar comments pertaining to my item. You'd think it would end there, but she spammed numerous comments on my auction because she no longer wanted it and I couldn't remove her bid.
I couldn't believe it was happening to me. After the whole ordeal, I also couldn't believe have patient I was with that woman given my age. She was indeed a certified Listia "loony". I don't understand why it's so hard for some people to read auctions thoroughly. Fortunately, those type of people only make up a small percentage here. I'll be bracing myself soon because next I'm listing a iPhone 4. Those are a particularly popular item on this site. Wonder how many "crazies" that will draw in. ミ●﹏☉ミ

Isent It Slow? My Ipod4 Is Really Laggy. :/
Jul 1st, 2014 at 9:15:37 PM PDT by
Original
No, it's wiped clean so its running on its optimal speed. I may be able to help with your lagging problem though. Try clearing out your Safari data in "Settings > Safari > Advanced > Website Data" click edit and delete all data. Or try double clicking the home button and remove your recent visited apps. (If left idle, your apps will begin taking up precious RAM thus slowing your device.)
If that isn't enough, try doing a hard reset. (Hard Resets won't remove anything on your iPod.) You can do that by holding down the Power button and the Home button at the same time for 10 seconds or until the Apple logo appears.
My brother and sister always get a hold of my electronics and when they're done playing with them I always do this and it never fails. :)

Thank you, I would have held myself from responding, but the comment was way too irrational to ignore. I've never been chastised for writing my name next to an item to verify I am the true owner. Later I actually found out not only is she a new user here but she's just a kid; not even a teenager. So I understand her immaturity. Nevertheless, she is a minor which is against Listia's terms and she has been reported. Hopefully she hasn't given other sellers much trouble on their auctions.

Me too! I loved my happy customer last year when I did a Christmas bundle on a different site. :)The winner was so grateful that she actually sent a letter of gratitude later in January. But I'm not exactly sure how many items to include; but I want to do at least 2 auctions this year. Thank goodness I have 5 months to stock up and figure it out!!

Thank you! I hate it that some people are apprehensive to look at these types of auctions due to the high level of scam activity on this site. Even though I pretty much verified everything from the actual device to even the highlighter, there will still be someone who will say otherwise. Oh well, I wish only users who have reached level 1 verification can list big ticket items. That will squash a good 90% of scammers here

Jul 8th, 2014 at 5:21:39 PM PDT by

You can view it on the app store. It's an app where you can dress your face with numerous props such as pig noses, glasses, make-up, mustaches, hats, etc. It's completely irrelevant to this auction though.

Nice iPod, I have one like this already, that I hardly use because I bought a kindle fire, was thinking of posting it here, but I paid over $300 for it (32gb) and not sure I want to do that, don't have time for the craziness on here, probably just give to my granddaughter. F&W and will keep eye on ur other auction , good luck on ur auction.

Thank you and funny you wrote that, I feel the same way about a Factory Unlocked iPhone 4s 32GB. When it was brand new, I paid 2 arms and a leg for it and getting messages from users about getting it for the equivalent of $10, $15, $20 would simply drive me nuts. But I do believe it's a popular item on this site and you'd get a pretty penny for it. :)
But if you do give it to your granddaughter, I think it'd be a REALLY great gift. I adored mine when I had it, but now the battery is dead from my siblings overuse and now I'm currently waiting to have it repaired. v.v

Hi I am new to lista can you give me feedback as to how I can sell things better from the beginning? Thx :) fanned plz fan bak
Jul 19th, 2014 at 8:33:59 AM PDT by

No problem! First, kudos to you for actually seeking advice from other members before you get started with selling. :) People rarely do that these days. The problem new Listians have now is starting off with huge items and ending up getting less than what is expected (Buyer's don't want to get ripped off by new users) and they end up not sending it or have a severe case of seller's remorse. Before you start, I HIGHLY suggest you review this: http://www.listia.com/rules before you start selling. From my personal experience, listing small items such as phone accessories, small hair accessories, costume jewelry, make-up, etc. in the beginning helps. You want to get 5 small items out of the way so you can get your Seller's Wings badge if you want to add a GIN for your future auctions. (This badge requires 5 positive seller feedback ratings, 5 listings, and a 90% positive seller feedback rating after being a member for 20 days.) Try your best to include "Free Shipping" on your auctions with expensive items. It's not absolutely necessary, but most users tend to go after auctions labeled "Free Shipping" thus increasing chances of acquiring more credits. After you verify yourself and achieve Level 1 Verification, you will have many more confident bidders watching your auctions. One thing I stress more than anything is if you decide to start shipping items to your winner's be very wary. Trust no one. Always try to include tracking when shipping. Some users will lie and cook up elaborate stories in their disputes to not only keep your item you sent them, but have their credits returned to their account if you can not provide conclusive evidence that she/he is indeed lying and they did receive their item. Always keep this in mind for future references. If you have any more questions or need any advice about selling, feel free to drop a comment/message. I do hope you flourish on this site as a great seller. Bonne chance mes ami! (^_^)
