The listing, The Ren & Stimpy Show has ended.
Nickelodeon The Ren & Stimpy Show: On Duty. 40 minutes 1993. copy and pasted the following from Amazon.com. i do not have the box but will ship in plastic case.
Ren & Stimpy remain as one of the most revolutionary characters that have ever been televised in history. In fact according to TV Guide, they are among the 50 greatest cartoon characters of all time. Nevertheless, it is kind of sad that the Nickelodeon network isn't airing any of those cartoons at this time.
The video On Duty, is a very brief cartoon anthology, containing only 2 of the cartoons the tailless cat and the dog appear in. The first one, The Royal Canadian Kilted Yaksmen, shows Ren & Stimpy volunteering for a mission to search for a wasteland, while battling very surreal things you wouldn't expect to see in Canada, like a Marmaset, and a whole lot of mirages in the mind, and even a search for one type of food that is universal to their tongues, dirt.
The other cartoon, In The Army, Ren & Stimpy endure vigorous training for their time in the Army. Unfortunately, Ren leaves all the work for Stimpy to do, so Ren can unfortunately recieve all the trouble, like Ren giving 20 dollars to the sergant, in exchange for not doing 20 push-ups. Unfortunately, Ren & Stimpy are forced to peel not only potatoes, but watermelons, and even bombs?!
Although many young kids might not find Ren & Stimpy attractive in their lives, largely due to the fact that their show isn't on television anymore, it is so nice to see at least something good out of it on video. As long as you still have it. If not, what are you waiting for soldier, get out there and buy it, on the double!!
