Florida everglades heirloom tomatoes ( or wild tomatoes) are an easy way to have tomatoes all year round in the south and other mild climates. Up north you'd have to keep it in a container and take it in for winter. This plant is very drought tolerant, long-lived and very sweet tasting. Here in the south you can even have last year's plant still bearing fruit while another generation has been started and bearing also.

These vines can grow up to 10' long and you may sometimes have to cut them back. There is a way to pickle the green tomatoes (Tom Olives) so that you don't have any waste. I love these cherry sized tomatoes with okra, or okra and shrimp (even better!!). They are also great on crackers with spinache artichoke dip and of course in salads. I never buy tomatoes anymore!

I will give you 30 of these wonderful seeds and you may never again have to have any as they often reseed themselves. Or you can collect the seeds as I have done.
