I had them in two different PC's one and Acer and the other a custom built PC. So I would say no they aren't.

Not totally sure without knowing what your motherboard supports. Try going to crucial.com and running their analyzer like 2ht2hndl2cld2hld suggests.

Every google result I see says ddr2 6400 is backward compatible to ddr2 5300. So in short it looks as though it will work.
