I have to look these up and see if they will grow in the dessert as they are something else.

This plant loves growing waterside. It loves moist heat, think COLUMBIA! I don't think it will be happy in the desert unless you provide a microclimate for it. Don't let it dry out completely. There is only one way to find out: try it! I love experimenting with plant to test the hardiness. Gunnera might just surprise you.

Pulledbydog, she has 100% feedback, read the comments. If obviously isn't a scam.
Great auction! Is this edible rhubarb? Do you know if it would grow in zone 7b? Thanks! :)

This is not an adible plant! DO NOT EAT THIS--Dinosaurs only....and it can be overwintered in 7b with careful mulching practices. I have been instructed to cover it with its own leaves to protect from frost. I'd go the extra mile on this tip just to be on the safe side, but Seattle residents have reportedly overwintered gunnera, and I know it grows on the Oregon coast in a protected position. Hope this helps.
