What's wrong w your puppy? I will keep him in my hopes n pray for him bc I love all dogs & cats. Just saw a horrific tragedy this past week on the news here in Phx. where over a dozen dogs died in a boarding kennel bc a dog chewed the cord to a/c n no one checked on those poor dogs long enough for them to die in the Az. heat. I think it's negligence bc the owners lied to ppl about their dogs saying they'd run away. I'm still upset about that news story. One dog escaped only to die of dehydration a few miles away bc he didn't know which way to go. My heart just ached for his ppl. I've never used a boarding kennel n after that story don't think I ever will... Good luck n Bless you & your doggy; /I hope he's ok n it works out for you both.
Sargent had a HUGE lump from his back knee to his groin. The ER Vet x-rayed for possible broken bone and then a sonogram to see if maybe a hernia happened and gut broke through, nope, Thank GOD!! I brought him home with ice packs, meds and rest time. Ice on for 15 minutes every 1 1/2 hour. I took him back in for a next day check up and we decided he should spend the night in the hospital and had a blood transfusion after I left him there. Home the next day and I kept up with the ice packs, meds and rest time. Now 11 days later, the hematoma is about the size of a golf ball and is slowly getting absorbed in his body. The blood transfusion really helped It came from a bull mastiff. I'm addinghis picture to the above!
It is horrific what goes on in a lot of shelters... what an incorrect word for some of those places. Thank you for your thought and prayers!
Puppies pics are precious! They are litter mates?! I know cats can have one litter w more than one baby daddy's fathering kittens in same litter (cats are lil adorable furry tramps!) Can dogs do that too? Or are all puppies in one litter from just 2 parents? Those puppies look somewhat vaguely related I guess...they are adorable...and lucky to have an angel like you watching over them & nursing them vigilantly back to health. Its good to hear of peoples heroic & selfless attempts to save their pets for a change. So often we just hear the tragedies of people w no hearts or no common sense. Common sense is anything but common these days... Bless u & your furry babies..their love is truly unconditional..some of my best friends have been dogs!!
That is so true! Their love is totally unconditional... too bad humans can't be more like them! They are the 2 that survived of 4. Mama a cute Chihuahua and Daddy a mixed Chihuahua-Jack Russell (Owner's pups). She told me a couple of month ago when she came in to renew her Driver's License that her pup had babies and if she couldn't find homes for them, she'd have to take them to the pound!!! I gave her my tele# and she called me about 9 weeks later. I"M THINKING... get them fixed, it is healthier for them and won't have any surprise babies again! Reese's definitely like her Mama and Sargent like Daddy.
