The listing, GENUINE 1677 Spanish Copper Cob Coin - Spain Shipwreck Treasure? has ended.
This is an AWESOME Spanish copper cob coin! It's dated 1677 and has lots of good details. MANY copper cobs do not show the date, due to the crudeness of the coin strike and clipping, but this one clearly shows the date (at the top of the first photo) and a bold struck VIII on the back (the denomination is 8 Maravedis). It was struck during the reign of Carlos II (Charles II). It's about the size of a US quarter, perhaps slightly bigger. I was told this particular coin was found on a beach and may have come from a shipwreck. This would make a great addition to any collection, or a fantastic piece of jewelry. I completely guarantee it to be genuine as described. Shipping in the US is FREE, US bidders ONLY, must have verified address. All Listia rules apply. Thanks for looking!
