The only year that steel pennies were made is 1943. to my knowledge

ok i surely didn't know, thanks. I just heard they were made during the war, I wasn't around yet. I don't have a steel penny (of any year.....). My coins only go back to the 50's for now.

Collecting is a good hobby. Online and at antique stores are the best places to get coins. At least in my experience. I only recently got coins from the 1800s and now I have them back to 1826. Collections grow quick.
