I'm not sure what they're made of. I honestly don't know how they would hold up on clothing. The color may fade during washing. They seem like they were painted with the color. I would recommend using for paper crafting. I bought a huge lot of these and have far too many. Free shipping.

Oh, and I looked up the shop I bought these from in Los Angeles. These buttons are made of wood. I have no idea what kind. They're really light weight. I visit the garment district near china town in LA to buy large quantities of crafting items. You can spend a small fortune there in a couple hours. Fun place!!
