Wonderful Damascene piece!! I collect these too, I got mine in Spain, Barcelona and Toledo (Very famous for this craft the this bracelet is heavy gold plated (24K) and the plates are 22K carat gold they are a very thin gold layer which is etches in the shapes of many figures typically flowers and birds, but I even have dancers and a matador with the bull, I can see this has dancers .... voila!! Kuromatsu thank you for bringing such wonderful piece to Listia!! :))

Ah, by the way in case someone wants to know it is called Damascene for it craft was originally brought to Spain by the moors which learn it from Damascus it is also called Toledan as it was in Toledo that this craft reach their highest quality and importance in production, the craft was used too to decorate the swords and knifes of the nobility
