Description
The listing, Very Large and Unusual Bur Oak Acorns has ended.
Enclosed are four huge acorns from a Bur Oak. They're huge! I've never seen anything like them until my husband brought these home when he was working for the country on he roads. They measure a whopping 1 1/4th to 1 1/2 inches in length without the "cap" or whatever you call it. These acornswill not have the cap so tht shipping will be easier and cheaper. The Bur Oak is the only native oak in the Black Hills. Squirrels, tuckeys, and deer make heavy use of the Bur Oak's acorns. American Indians often ground acorn meats into a meal to make bread or soup.
