That is completely up to you, you don't need to, but I'm sure a lot of women would choose to just because it's part of the routine. I myself don't wear a lot of powder to start with so I opt to go without powder when I use this makeup. When I wear bb cream I always set it with powder. I guess the answer to your question is no. Sorry to ramble,lol!
