The listing, Original Charcoal Drawing of Emma Watson has ended.
This is the first time I am listing one of my original drawings as a finished piece and not a commissioned piece of art. You will get this drawing done by me, unmatted and unframed. It is sprayed with a fixative to prevent smudging and to preserve the drawing. It is more like a sketch done with charcoal pencils. The subject in the drawing is Emma Watson, also known as Hermione Granger in the Harry Potter movies. This was done in February of 2005, so it not a recent drawing. If this goes well I may list some of my other older drawings for auction. Again this is not recent so it doesn't necessarily reflect the level of work I am doing right now. I just thought it would be a fun way to get rid of my earlier work that has been laying around my portfolio. Thanks for looking! **If you want to see more of my artwork visit my website at www.theartofjes.com.
Questions & Comments
This is incredible! The detail is amazing, it must have taken you forever to make. I'm just so awestruck at your talent. I fanned you, thanks for listing this masterpiece! :-)
wow thanks! that means a lot since this was done so long ago and actually only took about 3 and a half hours to finish lol. I am curious to see how something like this does on Listia. Thank you for your awesome comment :)
Wow. Agreed. I love it!! :) I'm watching. Have a feeling I won't have enough credits to win in the end. But you can bet I'm still trying. :-D I'm fanning you and will check out your website too! :)
lol thanks! i think it had to do with the charcoal. it's so messy that i wanted to get it done faster. if this were graphite it would have taken me at least double that time lol.
You can go my website at theartofjes dot com. I just got flagged for adding links to my descriptions so I'm a little weary of writing URLS now lol. If you want more info just send me a message :)
wow what a beautiful drawing i really hope you sign this even on the back if you dont want to ruin the pic. you should send one to emma watson herself. she would love it. fanned you, fan back please.
I always sign my drawings. This one is signed on the front bottom right hand corner, full name and year. I just saw that an artist did 34 pieces of art of her and they're all amazing! She must really appreciate art so I really should do a new one of her and send it. Thanks for the idea!
you are truly an amazing artist.I will be putting up art glass which doesn't compare to your talent.I hope to get enough credits to bid on your art.Good luck and hope all your dreams come true
how will you be shipping it. i figure rolling it up and put it in a shipping tube because in a envelope it has a chance to get bent or ripped. just hate to see something that beautiful get messed up.
That's a great question! I send it in a Priority envelope sandwiched between two sturdy pieces of cardboard. I've had drawings rolled up before and I just don't like it. If the drawing was bigger then I might roll it into a mailing tube, but at 8x10 it works better to keep it straight. Plus since I am offering free shipping so it is cheaper for me to send it this way. If I were to mail it in a tube I would have to charge shipping. I hope you understand. Thanks!
This listing is for a custom drawing of a photo of your choice. If you visit my website I have the terms and prices if you wish to purchase one from me instead of bidding. theartofjes.com Thanks so much! :D
