It should. From what I recall, the screen was not the problem. It just decided not to turn on one day.

Sounds like either a bad stick of ram or worst case bad motherboard because if the harddrive was out it would at least boot to the bios and since it wont come on at all its either ram or motherboard the latter being inexpensive but diffcult to repair because you have to take the whole computer apart to put the motherboard in but bad ram is just a matter of 4 screws and lift the palrest

The only reason why the hard drive was taken out is because I'm getting rid of the laptop...for privacy purposes only. Hard drive was not a problem. As far as why it won't turn on, your guess is as good as mine. ;)
