Description

The listing, Better Homes and Gardens Curtains! has ended.

*Wonderful curtain panel set and valance all in one piece!
* I will be sending two which covers two standard size windows perfectly. These are the longer length because I like curtains to go all the way to the floor.
* We are renovating our house due to a growing family and no longer need these. They are a bit wrinkled from being packed, but after hanging for a while, a cleaning with a steamer, or just a toss in the dryer on low for 10 minutes should get them in pristine condition once more.
* We are a smoke free and pet free home. If you have any questions please ask. Thanks!

I have these in my kitchen. I didn't want the whole length (cause if they hit the floor I would have to throw them up on a counter to mop) so I cut the bottoms off and made matching curtains for my bathroom! I am SO NOT the sewing/crafty kind, but the material is silky yet just stiff enough to make this work! Just wanted to share how easy it is to alter these.

Thanks for tossing that great suggestion out there for everyone. I think it's awesome that you were able to make them work for you and use the leftover material as well!

Each of my window is 58 wide but can make these work with a sheer behind them...You think??? Fanned and watching and have bid.

I didn't think about that. That's actually kind of genius. You would be able to gather two panels together, but a vent may still lightly blow the sections apart; a little thing to most, but that would drive me nuts. A safety pin in the bottom should prevent that though. I've done that before too.

It is two sets correct? And how wide is each set please?
Jul 15th, 2014 at 1:55:44 PM PDT by

Yes they are two sets. The two panels and valance are all in one piece, not like typical panels that you can pull apart and have a valance on a separate rod above. A person would need tie backs if they wish to have these open. They are 40 inches wide.

I think I am a little confused which is an easy thing for me to get. I really want these I just need to make sure they will fit so I am sorry in advance if I am repeating myself.

There are two sets and each set has two panels and one valance that is attached. Is this Correct. and each of the panels are 40 inches wide??? this is where I am unclear

If you could just tell me if the two sets are actual 4 panels and to valance that do not come off. and how wide each panel is I would really appreciate it.

Thanks and sorry to be a bother

Oh, I got confused as well. We are a pair lol. Each panel would only be 20 inches wide then. I think this will help- I used this pair to cover two windows that were each 40 inches wide. So yes, each set has two panels and a valance and there are two connected sets. I hope I explained this better for you. What size window are you wanting to dress? .

Thanks got it. Was hoping to put the together for a large front window about 84 wide

Awe. I don't think these would fit right. It would be too risky. I have a really large window too and curtains to cover it were sooo expensive. My grandmother actually took two tan bedsheets (for thickness) on each side and made a dark red sash to droop across for way way less. If you have anyone you know that is handy with a sewing machine.

are they thick enough to use without blinds?
Jul 29th, 2014 at 11:49:04 PM PDT by

We used them without blinds, but they were on the west side of the house which didn't get direct sunlight. They were the most thin ones we had in the house. They are like a lightweight satin and I think with how easily they move also (from ac vents kicking on ect) the middle would billow out possibly on you as well depending on where you had them.
