They have bloodstones looking like rubies and rubies looking like bloodstones nowadays!!! Lol. It's a little deceiving.......garnet is my birthstone and this just looks too bright and light colored. No rudeness intended..... Just saying is all. Very nice stone and auction.

I'm not 100% sure and can't say for sure because going to a gemologist is pretty pricy on getting it checked through their analyzer machine and getting the paper work to prove it! I would check it myself but they don't have anything on the immediate market that you can buy at a reasonable price to do so! But good luck and happy bidding if your in.
