The listing, Vintage 3 Piece Peasant Musician Nesting Dolls has ended.

This set from the 1970's was made in Poland. It is from the Peasant Series, and depicts the father as a Musician holding the violin in one hand, the mother and child.

The polish sets are quite different than the Russian nesting dolls. They created several family sets and some are very rare now. This is from the Peasant Sets, and usually displays a father, mother and child. They also created a lot of the fairy tale sets, of which I have had and sold.

For collectors, they are special because they didn't mass produce them like the Russians, Chinese and Japanese. The main one measures 6".

They have a label on the bottom marked "Made in Poland", obviously as souvenirs.

They are listed in the book, "A Collector's Guide to Nesting Dolls" by Michele Lyons Lefkovitz

Very nice collectible set for you collectors who like the nesting dolls.

Yes, the Russian set was probably a little older. My favorite ones are the Polish ones. They are so cute. I have more to put on as well. I just don't like to put them on all at once. Best of luck if you bid.

I just wanted to comment because they will be shipped in a good sized box, they definitely will be shipped parcel post with confirmation tracking. If the price for priority is close to the same, I always use priority. I ship within 1-2 days after I receive your address. Thanks and happy bidding.

Cool! Thanks for the update! I personally don't mind paying the extra for Priority because it's safe, and if you do you shipping labels on-line, delivery confirmation is included. But, many folks don't do the on-line shipping. Saves a bit if you do though. Great set!
