Description

The listing, LOT OF 10 ARROWHEADS has ended.

You are bidding on 10 ARROWHEADS. I think they are called North America Arrowheads.

The picture is a stock picture, but the Arrowheads you will be getting are similar. Mine are mostly Gray and Black.

I don't know anything about Arrowheads, but it is a nice group.

If you Bid 8000 credits using GIN, I will send 15 Arrowheads, plus a surprise.

Good Luck and Happy Bidding.

One day and 2 hours left. If the credits are 2000 or more, I am going to send all 15 arrowheads. So bid, bid, bid. Wonderful collection of arrowheads.

5 hours and 35 minutes to go. Gloomy for me, but great for the highest bidder. You will be getting 15 Arrowheads and a surprise gift. Good luck and happy bidding.

Almost at a 1000. That will help with 600 credits I used to do the Premiere auction, but we are really far from what they are worth. We are talking about 15 arrowheads and a surprise gift. One arrowhead should go for 1000. Good deal for high bidder. Good luck and Happy Bidding.

Collectibles is a good category for trading cards and comics, so this probably got pushed down the list by them.
I'm on my phone, so I can't tell.

I have better luck putting my coins and diamonds in antiques (1700 year old coins and million year old diamonds), but not vintage.

Wow. I feel guilty. Just one Dalton with COA will go for $400 on my site, and one chert over $700.00. Even late Archaic without COA sell like hotcakes for $35.00 a piece. I'm surprised the bidding isn't over 20,000 yet. Are they showing up on the main browse?
If noone bids and I get them, I'll throw you a certified widows mite to lessen the blow.

I think it may have went better if I listed as Other Stuff and not collectibles. But at least you will be getting a good deal. I will just sell something else to make up for it. lol. Good luck and Happy Bidding.

I agree. This will go through the roof at the last 5 minutes. My last auction was a few thousand credits until the very end, and jumped to over 21,000.
I wish I had the credits for GIN, because I'm pretty sure I know what they are now after your last description...not going to tell though, lol. (the grey ones probably have a hint of bluish tint in the sunlight?)

Thanks, for your input. Never know, it is hard to sell something without a good picture, but as low as the bid is going its worth it just for one. Thanks. Good luck and Happy Bidding.

It's too bad you can't put the pictures up of what you actually would be getting. I'm sure it is what you say, but a picture says a thousand words. If you had pictures, I could probably give you some info as well as what the material was. Best of luck! Someone will get a good collection. At least they are authentic. There is a difference between made now and made back then.

Thanks. sorry I can't take the pictures, but all and any credits are well worth the sale. Most of them look like the black and grey in the picture. I appreciate all your input. Good luck and Happy bidding.

Hello everybody. I just wanted to let everyone know this is a great auction. The bidding is low. You are getting 10 arrowheads not one, you are getting 10. If you use GIN, I will be sending a nice gift with it, plus 5 more arrowheads, total 15.

Now that I am looking at other arrowheads, I think the other color is more like grayish not brown. Sorry so confusing, trying to descibe. Anyway. Good luck and Happy Bidding.

Sorry I was trying to say 8 are blackish, and 7 are lighter brownish.

Paleo and Meso are so hard to distinguish because the transition was so close, and the tribes were'nt unique enough until the early archaic with the defined dovetails, but even with a blurry pic, I can tell they're authentic paleo or meso from the strikings. The fakes are cheaply done in dyed masonry with a grinder, and they will look smooth with a flattail (and say made in china on the back, lol). Plus, the Dalton, 2nd from right-top and middle were only made by the Paleo 10,000 years ago, if I remember correctly.

I want to make sure everyone knows, the picture is similar to what I have but it is not the same. The size is about approx 1 3/8" to approx 2". I do have a total of 15 with GIN. Eight are dark colors, Blackish. & are lighter brownish white. Hard to describe. Anyway a nice group of arrowheads.

This information azvampyre 1973 is true. They definitely seem to be authentic. Wish we could see a little closer. I may just have to bid on them. My husband and I have collected and found most of our arrowheads. Too bad they didn't tell you where they came from. Probably didn't have anything written down that way, that's why I like to let everyone know exactly what I know when I sell or give one away. You wouldn't believe how many large ancient ones I have given away. Good to do that you know. That's why I like this site.

Sorry, I wasn't getting the email. If they look like the ones in the pic, like the Dalton's, then they're trasitional Paleo-Indian, and might be 8,000-12,000 years old.
Since they were nomadic, they would have been scattered all over the Eastern U.S., so they could be mistaken for Meso depending on where they're found, since the Meso's stuck to an area longer, but still kind've nomadic. (The Paleo's were slobs, lol) But after 8-12 millennia, it's a great piece(or 10) of history to have no matter what.

Thank you. I wish you all the luck. I don't know anything about Arrowheads, but they look pretty neat. I used to like to collect rocks, so the Arrowheads fit right in. But that was 100 years ago for me. lol.

No, don't throw them. It was a numptial joke. I guess only my ex did that, lol.

grey and black could be grey and chocolate flint if they're Archaic. When you throw them at your husband, do they spark when he ducks and they hit the wall?
May 25th, 2011 at 8:40:04 AM PDT by
Original
Are you serious. Do I need to throw one and see if it sparks? It will probably dent the wall. Good luck and Happy Bidding.
