is this game a rpg? or like one with level up and customization and such?

This game is an RPG. You use the stylus to draw runes to cast your magic.This is what gamespot says- "LostMagic is a role-playing game that starts well and gets deeper and better as you spend more time with it." But I suggest you check out the the whole review here.
