Our compost tea bags are designed to get the right mix of nutrients and micronutrients to the places where your plants need them the most. We begin with a quality, organic compost, rich in the beneficial bacteria and microbials that your soil needs to support a healthy plant. To this foundation we add a gentle blend of ingredients that includes bat guano, kelp meal, alfalfa meal, feather meal, phosphorus for root growth, and calcium for plant cell strength and to promote disease resistance. We add natural sugars to feed the beneficial bacteria and to promote their reproduction. Then we add magnesium sulfate, which assists in the production of chlorophyll and helps your plants with photosynthesis and nutrient uptake. To top it all off we add AZOMITE, a blend of 67 trace elements and minerals that have been micronized and made soluble for use in compost tea.
This blend is gentle enough for use on seedlings, but also strong enough to provide a tremendous boost of nutrition to your established plants in the middle of their blooming or fruiting stage. Even if applied at full strength, your tea will never burn your plants or injure the root system.
Each bag can be used to make up to 10 gallons of premium compost tea. But wait…..don’t throw that bag away! The compost inside can be used to jump start your existing compost pile, added to a worm bin to improve the quality of your future worm castings, or side dressed around your plants to provide even MORE of a boost to your soil. The 100% cotton bag is biodegradable and can be added to your compost pile as well.
