this is for a yellow game boy color (from what I was told yellow is a rare color) this worked perfect before my son took it to school, now the screen inside (from what it seems to be) is broken (see pict #2) the gameboy still turns on but of corse theres no picture. (pict #1 and2 the red light- power button is on) I thought someone could use the case or parts ect.. no games at this time as we would like to get another. free shipping in the U.s.

ur son was pressing on the display until he made the glass on it break and then thin black stuff is the ink that came out of it the display can b easily removed and replaced

the glass isn't broken though, stuff (ink ?? ) inside isn't moveing around either, but when you shake it lightly ect.. you can hear "stuff' rattleing around inside, so I have no idea whats wrong with it, and don't want to take it apart as I have no idea how to fix it, lol good luck to whoever would like to fix it ect..

There "was" 2 very thin piece of glass under the display screen glass. There is some type of computer-chip at the top of that glas that makes an electrical current that reacts to some-type of "liquid" that produces the images on screen.

its liquid crystal and yeah what is said above is right glass under outside protective screen broke lcd leaked

having broken many calculators in my childhood i can garuntee thats what happened

also hope you smacked your kid upside the head for breaking it...
