The listing, PRICKLY PEAR CACTUS (Huge 8" Succulent Pup) has ended.

You are bidding on a very large 8"+, 3 eared, yellow flowering PRICKLY PEAR CACTUS. Nicely "calloused" at the cut and from a very huge and healthy parent plant.
This wonderful cactus spreads rapidly each season. It is drought resistant and also tolerates very cold temperatures as well.
They grow well in containers or planted in the ground (I have both). They like lots of direct sun and well drained, sandy soil.
The auction is for EXACTLY THE PLANT IN THE PICTURES.
This will be a monster to mail, and will be packaged with great care to ensure safe arrival to your home.

Would artificial be the only light source? It needs dry conditions and heat too. Also, this will ultimately grow to about 4-5 feet tall at maturity. Cheers.

I would give it both. My concern is that it wouldn't get 10/8 hours of sun. I think it would get 6/7 where I have in mind. So I would use the artificial light to supplement it.

6/7 hours of good direct sun would be fine, I think. With the supplement of artificial light, you should be fine! Cheers.
