Description

The listing, 10 Days of Terror (10 Horror themed DVDs) - Winner will get all 10 DVDs! has ended.

This is going to be a first of a series (theme) for me. I want this to be a way of horror fans (or film fans in general to discuss and have fun). A big shout out goes to kennethedwards796. He was instrumental in giving me the framework to get this off the ground.

Without further ado, here is what I am offering.

I have compiled 10 DVDs. All horror and many iconic horror. These are all privately owned dvds (no former rentals).

NOTE: These all have their cases and artwork! WINNER WILL GET ALL 10 DVDs (and bonus DVDs if the bidding gets that high)!

I'll start off with a big one and that is A Nightmare on Elm Street. This is the Infinifilm 2 Disc edition.

For every 800 credits that gets added, I will reveal another title, otherwise I will add 1 title per day until all 10 titles have been revealed.

If the bidding goes over 25,000, I will add 1 DVD per 2000 credits above that up to 5 more dvds.

I hope we can all have fun and chat!

I will only ship to the United States and shipping is free.

I will not be offering GIN.

In case anyone is wondering - the Infinifilm edition of Elm Street has a commentary and trivia track (for people who like that - which I love).
More to come!

Someone told me about deranged a few years back, but it fell off the radar. Ill have to get on that. I watched a more recent low budget film I think just titled "Ed Gein" that was supposed to be more of an actual biopic but the acting and production values were pretty poor.

The low budget film you mentioned looked pretty bad so I passed it up. Deranged was put out during the heyday of exploitation in the seventies. MGM released it as a double feature with motel hell on DVD.

I didn't see the blu-ray of Sorcerer. Love Black Christmas! I didn't bother with the remake. You need to start a new auction like this every 21 days. Get the time is money perk and keep these up.

The Exorcist is still one of my favorite movies. Friedkin directed one of my favorite thrillers of all time. Sorcerer if you haven't seen it you need to.

Nice listing...I see you seem to like the slasher/psychopath genre. I just had to write a 10 page paper for a criminal behavior course on Ed Gein, the killer who provided the inspiration for Psycho's Norman Bates and TCM's Leatherface.

Thanks! I started off with some of the more "modern" icons of 70's and 80's horror. Aside from Psycho, the other Ed Gein flick I like is Deranged. I always thought the films that were inspired by Gein made him more mythical - almost to a urban legend status. Richard Speck was the one I found more...sinister.

I love it, great auction. and as far as I am concerned the only texas chainsaw massacre is the original. Have you watched the new Nightmare on Elm Street cause I still haven't been willing to?

The Freddy makeup was okay - I have no problems with that or Jackie Earle Haley. However, I had a problem with just about everything else - especially Rooney Mara. I did read that she hated the experience so much she almost gave up acting....of course she went on to do the American version of Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.

Long story short - not worth your time.
