The listing, VINTAGE SHELL ART BASKET has ended.

Years ago you could go into any tourist souvenir shop and come away with a little treasure like this.there were animals and birds and funny little people,ships and such.the sky was the limit when it came to the imaginative work of skilled craftsmen.this little basket is a prime example of that dying art.the base is a small shell upon which the flowers have been formed.i wish i knew the name of each shell but i don't.so please refer to the pictures for closeups.the basket handle allows it to hang wherever you wish.all listia rules apply.

It really is.i love anything made from shells.thia one is old.i make shell mirrors and had thought about listing one but they are so heavy that no one would want to pay the shipping.but i can do the little things when i fond them.have a good night,sheila

I love the ocean and do boxes sometimes too.will send pics in a few days.i'm waiting for my oval mirror to come up from the beach and i'm just finishing another one if i ever won the loyyert the first thing i'd do would bgo safely,sheilae to go buy a place on the beach somewhere.not likely but i can be hopeful:)
