I commented on your question instead of replying not sure if that made a difference. To answer your question again, I only tried it on once. I ware an XL also and it fit. It it was snug. I would ware out if I was keeping it because it wasn't real tight. It was just a little tight for me.

I have not worn this but just tried it on once. It fits snug so I would say that it runs a little big. I wear an XL. Good luck.
