So true, but I have a jeweler I can go to if I don't know what I've got but I've been collecting these Lucerne for over 20 yrs. I also let everyone know this is not ebay this is a bartering site to trade what I have for what I collect now and I enjoy it very much. I actually love listia and everything I 've won I love but if you get into it for reselling then it ruins it. I enjoy it for the reason of collecting what I enjoy, which is silver

And I hope you can read my comments again and see that I wasn't rude, just informing the group of a few things I know. I really do apologize if you took offense, but watch collectors try to help others as much as we can.

Sorry, everyone, I meant no offense. I did some research and perhaps was confusing this with another company. The 'official' body of watch and clock collectors said this (http://bit.ly/lucerne-watches). And I read things like this (http://bit.ly/lucerne1) and this (http://bit.ly/lucerne2) and this (http://bit.ly/lucerne3) all of the time.

I really was just trying to be helpful.

And just because you have a pocket watch on your profile does not make you an expert, I would like to see your Lucerne's .

It's easy for someone to write something that they read on line, but really know nothing about cause they never owned one like I said the watch pendant is from 60's , 70's cause watch co. Stop making wind- up watches then. So there's nothing false about this watch, just it's beauty, if people are getting it to resell, then it's worth in working condition is $100.

Ok, I'm responding to this persons remark as it is costume jewelry, Lucerne is a region in Switzerland and their language is German, some of your best wind-up watches were made in Switzerland, they hAve the best mechanism in the world, I hAve never owned a piece of Lucerne costume jewelry, they all have on the back an ornate design embossed on the back, which is beautiful. So this is my response in regards to the above.

Does it have the winding tool

Please don't take this personally, but Lucerne jewelry has, for many, many years, been nothing but costume jewelry. If the watch is wind-up, and it works, it's worth 900-1600 points.

I'm not sure what you used to take your pictures with, but on my iPad and computer, they are so fuzzy that I can't even discern the name. Also, the "skeleton" look is radically new, made to appeal to the steampunk fans.

Don't get me wrong: I own a watch sort of like this (a pacifistor), which winds and even claims to be semi-automatic. But I paid $20 for it, where it was shipped free from China.

I wish you nothing but the best on this auction, but you should remove all references to Vintage and 1960s, at least until you can take a picture where the words on the back and the front of the watch can be seen.

Otherwise, sell it as costume, contemporary jewelry, which Lucerne makes at high quality and quantity.

Most likely it's under the case in the mechanism, I've owned a lot of Lucerne, but this is the first Swiss I found, figure around 1960 or before. Wind-ups they haven't made since 60's or 70's. I recommend bringing it to a professional jewelers to have checked. I don't want to open the case cause I'm clumsy.
