Okay, sorry if the description is misleading or confusing. I believe that one part of this plugs into a wall adapter or laptop USB port and then it is able to charge three different things (at different times).

No, you use it as a regular charger and plug it into a laptop or wall (if you have a wall adapter) and then plug your device into it.
