A rookie with the Washington Redskins in 2001, Watson took advantage of his opportunities, rushing for over 500 yards in 2002 in place of an injured Stephen Davis. However, with the presence of Davis and Clinton Portis in the nation's capital, Watson found himself looking for work in 2003. Signed by the Bengals, he waited patiently for an opportunity. When he finally got it, Watson erupted for over 760 yards in just 5 starts, including a 3 touchdown game against the Jets.
