8 inches tall, 12 wide. Listia will not let me revise posting to add pics. I can email them if you want. The wear and tear is discoloration from the oils on your hands. It's darker on the handles. It's genuine leather so stuff like that happens but it's tough and sturdy. No structural flaws or ripped seams
