Description

The listing, Vintage "diamond" Round And Baguette Double Locking Tennis Bracelet has ended.

I received this piece in a big lot of vintage jewelry today from an elderly family friend today that recently cleaned out her jewelry box! So I'm listing a bunch of it here on listia! So this piece is so pretty could use a little help but would be easy to refurbish... It's missing a few little round stones but most of them are there... All of the baguette stones are still there and intact which would be harder to find I'd think... There is a sturdy working clasp and a safety chain with an additional lock. It is marked with what looks to be a makers mark on the back of the clasp but part of it has worn away. It's a little hard to make out and I know nothing and makers marks to even guess what it could say... Looks like it may say YED and then an additional letter that is partially worn away.... This is a stunning piece. I hope someone here will win it an restore it to its former glory. Please refer to the photos for a better idea of its condition... It relatively clean far as I can tell. Please ask any and all questions prior to bidding. I offer free shipping in the US. Check out my other listings from this vintage jewelry lot! Good luck and happy bidding!

Not being mean or anything, but why put "diamond" in the heading if they are rhinestones? Shouldn't it say "Rhinestones" in your title? I have come across a ton of listings like this, also people are putting "Gold & 14KT" when their pieces are "plated". I dunno... Just wondering. It is a BEAUTIFUL bracelet and looks to be maybe from the 1940s...Good Luck! (:|

I think on this piece and also on other pieces other people have listed it can be hard to say exactly what the stones are... Whether they are rhinestones, colorless gemstones, cz, or in really old pieces there are something called a paste stone and them there's zircon, zirconia, and cubic zirconia... Which are all different. Not everyone knows exactly what those are and the difference between them so diamond is used as a one word universal description to describe any colorless stone because everyone knows what a diamond looks like. I try my best to describe what the stones could be and what I think they are if I don't know for sure in the description portion of the listing. Anyhow I don't mean to be misleading. Personally as someone who bids on a lot of gold pieces on listia I can relate to having to filter through and seperate all the karat gold pieces from all the plated, filled or rolled gold pieces on here but I also know that not everyone knows the difference between those either. So I'm just careful to read all the details and ask all the right questions. And if ever in doubt or there's just not enough known info I just pass on the auction because there are always more to come :) sorry that was long but I hope it clarifies a little. I do know that some people just put that stuff to attract attention to their listing and then give you the old switcheroo later on. I also know that not everyone knows what the letter stamps mean on their stamped gold... They can assume the 10k hgp means that the item is solid 10k gold when really it means 10 karat heavy gold plating. Which is very different. Just gotta read everything and know what you're looking for.

I think I'd be happy with 18,000 credits in this piece... I was half tempted to fix it myself and keep it... I'm a sucker for baguettes!

I think there are about 40 missing. I would have repaired it before listing it but the stones I had on hand were a little too big. They're fairly inexpressive to purchase I think I paid 10 bucks for 100ct that I ordered on eBay a few months ago for a different project.
