it looks like thread but I bought it to crochet a doilies but it was to hard for me. I am new to crochet and i want to say that it is yarn. But i cant remember. I don't think i would buy thread! I will update the picture and maybe you can help! thanks for the question. I do not want to be misleading and post something with the wrong name. so thank you so much
